Stampin' Up! Storytime Suite - Giveaway
Monday, October 22, 2012
We are nearing the end of October and progress reports are right around the corner. Where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday we were preparing for the back-to-school season. This year, thanks to Stampin' Up!, I was inspired to get involved in some hands-on crafts using items from the Stampin' Up! Storytime Suite. This collection is so perfect for teachers and makes my heart skip a beat. From colourful embellishments to school-inspired designer paper, it was easy to kick the creative juices into gear. My only problem was trying to figure out what to use first.
With Stampin' Up! Storytime products, teachers can easily enliven any school supplies and create do-it-yourself flash-cards or cute
notebook labels. But they are also great for parents as well. The stamps and designer papers are perfect
for writing thoughtful notes to teachers and classmates, and they make it super easy to add a personal touch to any project. The Storytime Suite is available on stampinup.ca, along with a myriad of other fabulous craft supplies.
Among the selection of Stampin' Up! Storytime products are a number of stamps including the Storybook Friends Clear Mount Stamp Set and the Life Shared Wood-Mount Stamp. When you receive your stamps, there is some assembly required. With the wood-mount stamp, simply peel away the brown paper to reveal the adhesive backing and carefully place it in the centre of the block of wood. Then apply the clear label onto the other side.
The new clear-mount stamps are designed to maintain the unbeatable
image quality of traditional Stampin' Up! stamps. They are also flexible and easy to use. Stamps store easily in standard, DVD-type cases with artwork on front and spine, making organization easy. To assemble these stamps using the optional labels, remove the backing on the both the stamp and the label sheet. Flip the stamp adhesive side down and press onto the label. Keep in mind that, to use these stamps, you will need a clear block in the appropriate size and you simply need to press the block onto the label side of the stamp. The stamp will hold firmly until you remove it from the clear block.
The versatility of Stampin' Up products makes it fun for parents, teachers and kids alike to get creative. Check out these pretty dahlias!
Since I love card-making, I chose to create a couple of greeting cards using the designer paper, dahlias and stamps. Both the sheep and the cat are stamped images that I coloured in a bit and cut out with my craft scissors. For the alphabet card, I also used a rounded-corner punch. I happened to have a plain box lying around so I decided to jazz it up a bit. The recycled box would make a nice greeting card holder, a perfect little gift for a teacher.
Have you felt an itch yet to get down and crafty? Let me tell you, I could play with this stuff all day! I must also add that, having tried a variety of ink pads, I find Stampin' Up! ink pads are of the highest quality. It's one of the reasons I am super excited to share a giveaway with you. And this amazing prize pack, featured below, is valued at a whopping $70! So what are you waiting for? Hop on to the form below for your chance to win! (Canadians only, please.)
