Cavalia's Odysseo Opens in Toronto on May 15. Win VIP Tickets!

Monday, May 07, 2012

Over the weekend, while driving home from Burlington, I drove along the Gardiner Expressway and noticed a large white big top. I immediately became excited because it reminded me that Cavalia's Odysseo premieres in Toronto on May 15. That's next week!

With this new production, Cavalia marries the equestrian arts, stage arts and high-tech theatrical effects at never-before-seen levels. A veritable revolution in live performance, Odysseo comprises a list of superlatives: the world’s largest touring big top, the biggest stage, the most beautiful visual effects, and the greatest number of horses at liberty. The creators of this new ode to the horse indulged all their artistic ambitions and, in so doing, have delivered a larger-than-life spectacle, a two-hour dream that is a feast for the eyes. Odysseo gambles and wins, delivering a spectacle with soul and pushing the limits of live entertainment while and sending hearts racing.

As if that doesn't sound impressive enough, Cavalia has introduced special pricing for young children, as low as $29.50. And if you're on Facebook, you should head on over to the Cavalia fan page. They just posted how you can win an incredible VIP experience. They will choose one lucky winner to watch the show close up from the front row. You will also enjoy delicious refreshments and food before the show, access to the VIP dessert buffet during the show, an exclusive stable visit with the horses after the show and a special Cavalia souvenir.

Here I leave you with a cool video introduction to Odysseo. I have a strong feeling the Carusello scene will be one my favourites...

  1. We had a chance to see the original Cavalia show and the horse acts were great. I wasn't too impressed with the storyline and other acts, but that was likely because it was their first production. This new one looks much more polished and enjoyable though!

    1. It was definitely a sight to behold. I haven't seen the original Cavalia so I can't really compare. But I must say, I have not seen anything like Odysseo. Loved it!
