If you've been following my blog for a while now, you can attest to my love of all things Marvel, in particular any movie in which you will find Thor or Iron Man or Captain America. Thanks to "Captain America: Civil War", I've had my Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans fix but I have sure been missing Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. Fortunately, we will finally see them together again on the big screen in "Thor: Ragnarok." 

In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor finds himself imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and battles against the clock to get back to Asgard to face Hela the goddess of death in the hopes of preventing Ragnarok - the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization. As part of his journey, he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest in which he must fight his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk.  

“Thor: Ragnarok” features a star-studded cast that includes Chris Hemsworth as the hammer-wielding hero of Asgard, Golden Globe winner Tom Hiddleston as Thor’s duplicitous adopted brother, Loki, two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanche as the villainous Hela, Emmy nominee and Golden Globe winner Idris Elba and Jeff Goldblum, to name a few. This long-awaited film thunders into theatres on November 3, 2017 but one lucky Toronto Teacher Mom will get to attend an advance screening!

As a self-proclaimed die-hard Marvel fan, I am so excited for the opening of Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1. It is jam-packed with an incredible cast, including some of my favourites Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. The movie also introduces Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver and Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch. This week, we received a special Halloween delivery from Hasbro and oh, my Thor! Doesn't my son look so handsome with his new Thor: The Dark World gear? He may have to use the Nerf battle hammer to defend himself from all the cheek pinching, he's that cute. Actually, he will be dressing up as Iron Man this year so I'm starting to think I should give these accessories to my husband. If only he had long golden locks of hair...

... uh, sorry. Where was I?

For Halloween, Hasbro has some neat treats without the sweet for the little ones when they come a-knocking. They've got Halloween Mystery Bags containing a single mini figure such as Littlest Pet Shop or My Little Pony characters.

I think these mini figure bags are a great alternative to the sugar-laden candy that often weighs down your kid's pillow case. Plus, there is the added excitement of opening up the mystery bag to see what's inside.

If it means I get to marvel over the incredible specimen that is Thor up close and in person, I'm taking the next shuttle there.

Thor: The Dark World is coming to theatres on November 8, 2013 and I'm not sure if I can wait that long. Seriously, have you seen the original? And you must have seen Chris Hemsworth in Marvel's The Avengers, right? They seem to know how to cast all of these Marvel characters because they definitely sold me with Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Oh, the eye candy!

The new Thor movie sees the return of the incredibly handsome Chris Hemsworth alongside Natalie Portman, Renee Russo, Anthony Hopkins and many more. It chronicles the adventures of the Mighty Avenger as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. These are the movies that make me wish my name was Jane Foster...
