For school supplies, I am using Avery Kids Self Laminating Labels. These are available in neon and primary colours, and are smear proof and dishwasher safe. All you need to do is lift the self laminating seal and write using a permanent marker or pen, remove the white backer and press the laminated seal down before applying to a dry clean surface. These extra durable labels are also great for lunch box items, bottles, sports gear, electronic devices and more.

Avery Labels are great to help keep teachers organized at school, too. My favourite set of labels are the versatile Avery Address Labels, now available in Easy Peel. I use these every year to create name labels for the nearly 150 students I teach so they can easily find their French folders and notebooks. This year, I tested out the Avery Design & Print Online templates and found some really cute graphics and design ideas. I probably spent more time than I should have personalizing these labels but it was definitely worth it. Aren't they adorable?

And to save me some time, I used Avery Eco-Friendly Address Labels this year to print out a shortened URL that students and parents can access from home.

Now, having heard about all the fuss over the new Target stores, I had shied away from the busy parking lots and long lineups I had previously read about in my Twitter feed. So imagine my surprise when I learned that Target, contrary to my initial and utterly erroneous belief (*hanging head in shame*), carries much more than just clothing. Please don't shun me.

When it is time for teachers to head back to school and into the classroom, being organized is a huge component in starting the year off on the right foot. Truth be told, I don't actually have a classroom but rather a classroom on wheels. Teaching French à la carte is something I have been doing ever since I moved to Toronto nearly ten years ago and, truth be told, organization has never been my forté. Each year, it seems, I am always trying to organize myself in different ways using different products. I have accumulated so much that my little crate on wheels just doesn't seem to cut it anymore. This year, I am looking at setting up a French corner in each of my eight classes to help lighten my load with a little help from my friends over at Barker Creek Publishing.

Barker Creek has a really nice selection of Letter Pop-Outs in a bunch of really cool designs. I chose their 4" Over the Rainbow polka dot letters because I love the bright colours on black. The set includes uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, punctuation, and Spanish punctuation which could easily be adapted for French - 255 pieces in total!
