Family fun during the holiday season often means rolling up your sleeves and getting you fingers all sticky as you decorate the much-anticipated gingerbread house. It is twice the fun when you join in Habitat Toronto's Annual Gingerbread Build. The best part is knowing that 100% of the proceeds will help build more Habitat homes in Toronto. With Bounty as one of the title sponsors, though, you need not worry about the mess. There is plenty of paper towel on hand! As a P&G Mom, I was invited to bring my family and experience the party first hand. And I'm so glad we went!
With each $50 purchase, your family receives an all-natural gingerbread house and a large bag full of yummy treats and plenty of icing to decorate it with. But in case you do run out, they have a table set up where you can buy more candy for $2 a bag. There are also a couple of tables where you can buy cold or hot drinks as well.
Each family also receives a ticket which gives you a chance to win some pretty amazing door prizes including the newest version of the Cascades cardboard playhouse, one of which was set up for the little ones to play with, and lots of toys including one on my daughter's wish list: Equestria Girls.
The Habitat Gingerbread Build party is such a nice way to spend time with the family. Not only does Santa stop by for photos and to pick door prize winners, but there are additional activities to keep the little ones busy. They can draw their ideal home on a large mural or build one at the KRE-O table which has been supplied by Hasbro.
