If you haven't already heard, Disney Planes is now in theatres and is currently at the top of my list of movies to see with the kids. My son is a die-hard fan of Cars and Cars 2 so I have no doubt in my mind he will love this new action-packed 3D adventure. In the meantime, I am bringing some of the action into our home with some super cool Disney Planes paper crafts featuring six characters from the movie. 

 

Yesterday afternoon, I was the lucky recipient of a Red Prince gift package containing some delicious apples and energy bars, all on a gold platter and wrapped with a bright red bow. I let a colleague try one of the energy bars and she absolutely LOVED it! I did, too. They're so moist and jam packed with nutrional goodness. Anyone who knows me will attest to the fact that I'm a picky eater so I kid you not when I say I could eat these bars every day. One of the apples came in a clear box on its own royal pillow. How cute! Along with the yummy goods, there was a note rolled up like a scroll, the beginning of which started with a regal "Hear ye! Hear ye!" You're probably wondering what the fuss is all about. Well, it turns out that the European Red Prince apple variety is now being grown locally here in Ontario. And to celebrate its arrival, Red Prince himself will be in downtown Toronto in the underground PATH system at the Exchange Tower and First Canadian Place this Friday, February 5 and he will be giving away over 10,000 free apples between 11am and 2pm. The event aims to promote civility and etiquette and thanks to Red Prince and Adelaide Spa, you can indulge in some royal treatment by getting a free hand massage. You will also be graced with the presence of Louise Fox, who is the founder of The Etiquette Ladies, Canada’s Experts in Children, Youth, Teens and Business Etiquette. She'll be there to offer her expertise on manners and etiquette to help improve your career and your relationships. Also, starting on Friday, Red Prince is challenging you to pay it forward by participating in their 30-day Civility Challenge. By following Red Prince on twitter, you will be able to read their daily tweets in which they will challenge you to do a good deed, sometimes as simple as smiling at a stranger. So go ahead.
