Tide Stain Warriors Challenge 3 #GetsItOut

Monday, May 30, 2016

It's beginning to look a lot like spring... er, summer, even! The sun is shining, the grass is growing and the kids are spending more and more time outdoors. Colour me thrilled! It's also a reminder that summer vacation is right around the corner, which means I won't have to worry about making lunches. Or getting up at 6:00 AM. Or making sure the kids have stain-free school uniforms to wear for two whole months. You see, my son has a habit of dropping his school bag on the floor as soon as we arrive home and making a beeline for the garage. He will pull out either his bike, his scooter, his soccer ball or all three. And his clothes manage to document every activity.

Over the last few years, my son has taken quite an interest in playing soccer and has been joining a house league where he gets to show his mommy how fast he can run and all of his fancy footwork. Which I love. When he falls to the ground in an attempt at the ball... yeah, not so much. Luckily, he recovers from these falls virtually unscathed, which is more than can be said about his white soccer shirts. Thanks to Tide Ultra Stain Release, however, I no longer have to fret about grass stains and can focus more on enjoying my son's game.

In our final Tide Stain Warriors Challenge, we tested out Tide Ultra Stain Release on grass stains. Now I know that Tide removes over 100 stains in one wash but I have to say I'm quite surprised that there was absolutely no hint of grass stain on his white cotton shirt. This is quite often one of the most stubborn everyday stains and so I decided to pre-treat it before throwing it in the wash. Here are some guidelines for using Tide Ultra Stain Release:
  • Before you start the cleaning process, remove any excess debris from the garment, wet a cloth with water and gently, yet firmly, blot the fabric to dilute the stain.
  • Where needed, pre-treat the stain using Tide Ultra Stain Release with its Zap!Cap as a pretreatment.
  • Wash garment using warm water on your regular wash cycle.
Here's an extra tip from yours truly: once you have used up a bottle of Tide Ultra Stain Release, hold on to the Zap!Cap and use it for pretreatment. This way, you will save the added step of having to remove it from and replace it onto the new bottle of detergent.

This past Saturday, I participated in a mud run with 12 obstacles, some of which were quite challenging. I spent just over an hour in the hot sun so I knew I needed to rehydrate after the run. I ended up grabbing a blue Gatorade for the electrolytes but didn't drink it all. I wanted to save just enough for the last part of my third and final Tide Stain Warriors Challenge. Here are the final results:

On the whole, I am very impressed with how effectively Tide Ultra Stain Release #GetsItOut. I have to say it has been fun testing out some of the everyday stains that can haunt us moms and dads, such as soil stains and soy sauce spills. I can sleep a little more soundly now. I am also excited to announce that we have a winner of the P&G Fabric Care gift basket. Congratulations to Tammy D.!

As always, if you'd like to share how Tide Ultra Stain Release has worked for you, please leave a comment below. Happy cleaning!

    1. Right? I never had to worry about grass stains with my daughter but having a son is pretty much synonymous with mountains of laundry stained with grass.
