La Crème Cow Spreadable Cheese - Giveaway

Each week where I work, staff members enjoy Friday treat days. We sign up with other staff to bring in a selection of goodies for all to share and it makes morning recess fly by so quickly since there's rarely enough time to savour the tasty treats. This month, I decided to bring in a sampling of La Crème Cow cheese along with some crackers that I had been sent to try out.

Recently, Parmalat Canada launched La Crème Cow, a new line of spreadable snack cheese. It is available in three flavours: Original, Light and Parmesan and Peppercorn. The cheese has a very smooth and creamy texture, and is individually wrapped so you can take it with you on the go.

My lovely La Crème Cow package arrived the night before my scheduled treat day and oh, là, là! Was it ever lovely!

The next day at work, I set out a variety of crackers and bagels along with two packages of the Light variety, two of the Parmesan and Peppercorn and one 12-pack Original. By the time recess was over, all that was left from 36 pieces of cheese were two pieces of Light cheese and four pieces of the Parmesan and Peppercorn. I knew the Light version would be a popular hit because there are a number of staff members who count calories, so that was a nice option since it contains 43% less fat than La Crème Cow Original. I wasn't so surprised about the Parmesan and Peppercorn variety since I personally felt the peppercorn was a bit too strong for my liking. My kids were able to try the original variety and absolutely loved it. They would eat it on its own, if I let them.

After 15 minutes, only six pieces remained.

If I had had more time, I would have put a little more effort into preparing some really easy recipes that you can find on lacremecow.ca. Here are some of my favourite serving tips:

La Crème Cow Original cheese spread on a cracker with some sliced berries or grape slices with pomegranate.

La Crème Cow Original cheese spread on a cracker with a half cherry tomato and a few sprigs of arugula. Serve with a hint of balsamic vinegar and olive oil and a bit of salt for the perfect flavour combination.

La Crème Cow Light cheese spread on a cracker topped with slices of cucumber and snipped chives. Light cheese makes this a calorie friendly and tasty option.
