Telus Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month #pinknetwork

Tuesday, October 04, 2011

TELUS, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation are teaming up for the 2011 Go pink™ campaign supporting early breast cancer detection research and treatment. Between October 4 and December 31, 2011,TELUS will donate $25 to The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for every pink BlackBerry Curve 9360 sold during this time.

As part of this campaign, I am joining 24 other Canadian bloggers to help raise awareness about how you can contribute to this cause by simply creating a personal photo gallery of your breast friends on Facebook. TELUS will give $1 to the CBCF/QCBFeach time someone joins the Pink Network™ and creates a photo gallery of her breast friends. You can learn more at the Go pink website.

By sharing this information with you, I am also eligible to participate in a blogger contest in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The grand prize is an all-expenses paid trip for myself and three of my best friends to a weekend spa getaway . I haven't decided who I will invite to join me but I do know I would love to have my lifelong friend and my maid of honour be included in the group. They are two of my closest and dearest friends who really made feel special by throwing a bachelorette celebration back when I was engaged to be married. All I needed were friends who were near and dear to celebrate the special occasion and they both made sure I had a blast.

With that said, I would really appreciate it if you could tweet a link to this post with the hashtag #pinknetwork. You only need to re-tweet once each day. The blogger who's tweets are re-tweeted the most wins. So if you can spare the time, I would love your support. Feel free to share your thoughts as it relates to Breast Cancer Awareness Month or share a story about your own pink network. In the meantime, have a look at the Pink Network video below as it has some important messages.
