I'm Making the Switch!

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Did you hear? I'm making the switch. I'm trading in something short and boring for something tall and downright sexy. Truly, I'm beyond thrilled! No, I'm not switching my husband for the man pictured above. I'm switching my toothbrush.

For the next few weeks, I have the pleasure of testing out the super cool Sonicare FlexCare+ Toothbrush by Philips. Can't you just see me smiling?

I beg your pardon.

There's a piece of lettuce stuck in between my teeth?

Have no fear! Sonicare is here!

Check out this handsome little devil:

Ain't it a beauty? If my teeth had pearly whites of their own, they'd all be smiling right now. It's designed using patented sonic technology that is safe and gentle, helping to naturally whiten your teeth. And not only does it come with a charger, a sanitizer, two brush heads, a travel charger and additional brush head colour rings, this toothbrush is jam packed with cleaning performance features that'll make your heart sing.

  • Performance: Removes up to 83% of plaque in hard-to-reach areas
  • Health benefits: Improves gum health in only two weeks
  • Whitening benefits: Helps remove tea, coffee and other stains
  • Modes: 5 Modes: Clean, Sensitive, Massage, Refresh and Gum Care
  • Brush heads: 1 ProResults standard brush head for an All-Around Clean and 1 ProResults compact brush head for a Precision Clean
  • Speed: Up to 31,000 brush strokes per minute
  • Timer: Smarttimer and quadpacer
I also love that the UV Sanitizer removes up to 99% of bacteria found on brush heads. Over the next few weeks, I will be using my newest gadget to see whether or not it will help to remove tea and coffee stains, while still drinking tea and coffee. Honestly, won't be giving those up any time soon. I'm also curious to see how gentle and effective it is reaching the molars near the back of my mouth including the one that required crown lengthening surgery. My next dental appointment is scheduled in late August so it will be interesting to see if my dentist will have noticed a change, too.

Philips Sonicare FlexCare+ Toothbrush

In the meantime, I'll be busy flexing my biceps while my new Sonicare toothbrush takes care of all the hard work involved in keeping my smile bright. What can you do? So glad you asked. You can enter to win a Sonicare FlexCare+ toothbrush of your own, right here on Toronto Teacher Mom! (Valued at $219.95)

For this giveaway, I will be using the new Rafflecopter. This means you will only need to leave one comment on this post as the mandatory entry. You do not need to leave any comments for bonus entries as you will be indicating that on the form. I have already heard some positive feedback but you can always send me a message on Twitter, Facebook or via email if you have any comments or questions. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

  87. Making the switch is even more important now than ever, but not for me...I lost all of my teeth (they just crumbled, literally) because of cancer treatment. It broke my heart b/c I faithfully brushed several times a day and flossed more times than I could ever count.

I simply *despise* the false teeth they feel so unnatural and I can not taste food anymore. I would HATE to see it happen to anyone else, particularly to my family. I know that I had no control over losing mine and in fact, I was told by my dentist that had I not taken such good care of my teeth I would have lost them a long time ago-darn that cancer treatment.:0(

I am married and have 3 children, 2 are grown and on their own but I still have my 10 year old at home. I would LOVE to win this giveaway for he and my husband so that they may understand the importance of mouthcare, and perhaps I would not need to nag them as much.;0) It is too late for me, but not for them-I am really crossing my fingers that I may win this. Thanks so much for such a great giveaway opportunity!(sorry my comment is so long but I am very passionate about teeth now that mine are gone...)

  88. I would love to win this! My 4 yr old was given a kid's electric toothbrush for Christmas and now my hubby and I feel a bit behind the times.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Making the switch would be fun because it's less abrasive, less work, and you get whiter teeth in the process. Sounds like a winner to me.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I would love to make the switch! At 28 I discovered my first cavity this year and was INSULTED! Seriously, I brush with my manual brush, and floss (when I have time, two children means I hardly have time to pee by myself, let alone floss daily) and used mouthwash. I'd never had a cavity and then WHAM! Righ between the bicuspids there is was, it's fixed, we're moving on but a toothbrush to help make sure I do a better job of avoiding a new cavity would rock!
