New Proactiv Canada Blog Tour and Giveaway

Thursday, December 09, 2010

This contest is now closed.
Winners have been selected.

Even though I am now in my (early) 30's, I still suffer from blemishes on my face, neck and back. Shocking, I know! It doesn't help that I have the terrible habit of picking at them as soon as they appear. I am well aware that it makes it worse but I just can't resist using brute force in order to attack those suckers and let them know who's boss. What right have they to ruin my complexion anyway? Do they not understand that I author a blog and need to appear in photos and other media on occasion? It's quite shameful, really. They must have something better to do then to prey on innocent ol' me. But alas, they choose to live up to their vulgar sounding alias acne vulgaris and torment my skin with whiteheads and blackheads. Yuck! Now, they have no choice but to face the wrath of the New Proactiv Solution. Let's see how tough you are now, Monsieur Acne!

Join me and other Mom Central bloggers as we share our plight in the fight against acne with the help of the new and improved Proactiv 3-Step System. For the next 30 days, I will take arms against a sea of blackheads. And, by opposing, end them! With the new Proactiv formula designed to penetrate pores and clear blemishes without causing irritation, I will follow this 3-Step System daily to help prevent and treat blemishes.

Step 1: Renewing Cleanser: A unique oil-free formula, with exclusive micro-crystal pharmaceutical-grade benzoyl peroxide, that contains smooth, tiny beads to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and other impurities.

Step 2: Revitalising Toner: A refreshing, alcohol-free toner with glycolic acid that helps balance skin tone and remove dead skin cells to reveal the vital, radiant skin beneath. Its special formulation to balance skin's natural acids includes witch hazel to refine and purify pores and aloe and chamomile to soothe and soften.

Step 3: Repairing Treatment: A light, oil-free lotion containing exclusive micro- crystal pharmaceutical-grade benzoyl peroxide. The Repairing Treatment penetrates deep into the pore to help heal blemishes and help prevent future breakouts. The advanced delivery system is safe for the entire face and any other blemish-prone areas.

I will disclose that I did try Proactiv over a decade ago, and while I was thrilled to see the blemishes disappear, I felt it dried my skin which lead me to reduce the amount of times I used it, until I eventually stopped. Now, with the faster and gentler formula, I am excited to be able to test it out again and share my results with you, my loyal readers! Here are a couple of before shots. They are in thumbnail format but if you dare to take a closer look, you can click right on them for a larger view. (Viewer discretion is advised.) You will notice that some areas are slightly red or somewhat "raw" from my relentless scratching and picking, etc.

Caution: blemishes in photos are larger than they appear.
