The Juppy Baby Walker Review and Giveaway

Saturday, May 01, 2010

Have you ever supported a baby as he or she was learning to walk? If so, you know how hard on the back it could be, constantly bending over. Here in Canada, mobile baby walkers are no longer permissible by law, leaving moms and dads with terrible back ache as they try to provide some mobile freedom for their developing child. But now, there is a new doctor-recommended training aid called The Juppy Baby Walker that eliminates the need to bend over. It's simple design is safe and made from high quality fabric. It also comes with a handy carrying bag and can even be personalized with your child's name. Here is a video introduction to the Juppy Baby Walker:

My youngest has learned how to walk so I invited my friend to try it out with her 8-month-old daughter. They even took it with them on their trip to Disney World. It's a good thing it's so compact because they had a family of 5 to pack for. Here is what my friend had to say about the Juppy Baby Walker:

It is very easy to use. You just slip it onto the baby like how you would put pants on and zip it up. The top edge comes right up to her arm pits. It is loose and not binding. The two straps are adjustable so parents can adjust them to a height that allows them to comfortably stand up and support the baby. She was able to take a few steps but I think I would have to use it for a longer period of time to provide feed back on how long it would take a baby to develop to the point of walking unsupported. I could definitely see the benefit in minimizing parental back aches. My worries about it not providing sufficient support were eliminated once I tried it. Parental supervision is a MUST.
She was also kind enough to capture the Juppy in use with still photography. With three girls keeping her busy, I really appreciate her finding the time to take the pictures and sending them my way.

The Juppy Baby Walker is easy to clean and machine washable and is suitable for both boys and girls.

  32. Hi,
saw your post while searching for ideas, to help my 16 month old son, with delays. This would be really useful for helping my child who needs that extra support and my back would defenitely love the extra help.
