Lately, I've noticed that my eldest, who will be 5 in the summer, looks like she's going on 10. She's getting taller and smarter, and is outgrowing a lot of her old clothes. Aside from a sleigh bed with a trundle that I use for storage, and a very tiny closet, she doesn't have any other real furniture. I store most of her clothes in a set of plastic drawers and right on top is her lamp. I really want to get her some kids furniture this summer to compliment her bed and look at more fashionable storage solutions. But in the meantime, I have a lot of sorting to do. That's right. I need to get started on Spring cleaning!
It's very hard for me to get rid of things because I always think I could find a use for them eventually. And when it comes to the kids' toys, it's hard to part with what they've outgrown because of its sentimental value. As much as I would love to have a third child, I don't think that's in the cards for us. So they're really isn't much sense in keep everything. What I do need is to figure out a way to store the toys they do use so that they can find them and access them easily. I'm sure most of you have heard of the Boon Frog Pod. It's a cute drainable scoop you can use to collect and rinse bath toys that comes with a mount that you can attach to your bathroom wall using adhesive strips or screws. Storing them in this way helps reduce mold and mildew, too. Now here's the great news: CSNStores.com has offered to give one Boon Frog Pod to a very lucky Toronto Teacher Mom reader.
