During this holiday season, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal is encouraging families to turn delicious treats into toys for children in need across Canada. For every original photo of a Rice Krispies treat uploaded to RiceKrispies.ca, Kellogg will make a donation of $20 to The Salvation Army, up to a maximum of $30,000. The Salvation Army will use this donation to buy toys for children in need across Canada this holiday season.
Using supplies we had received in our Rice Krispies Treats for Toys kit, our family took some time over the weekend to make a toy-shaped treat using the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies squares recipe. We selected the car-shaped toy from the five new Rice Krispies recipes available on RiceKrispies.ca, since my son loves cars like crazy. Plus, it was much easier to build than the Rice Krispies 'gingerbread' house we had attempted last year. My son helped out by counting out 40 large marshmallows...
