FurReal Dizzy Dancers: Do You Dare to Dizzy?

Saturday, April 07, 2012

There's a new Hasbro toy in town. Yes, FurReal. It's the brand new FurReal Dizzy Dancers collection, to be exact. I know. My daughter could hardly contain her excitement either.

FurReal Dizzy Dancers by Hasbro

Dizzy Dancers is an assortment of twirling, spinning animals from the makers of FurReal Friends. Insert the included dizzy cord and pull to set these pets in motion and watch as they spin and dance wherever you place them. There are more than 50 Dizzy Dancers characters to collect and you can interchange the top and bottom of any pet to create custom Dizzy Dancers of your own.

My daughter loved the pretty colours and decorating the base with the 25+ stickers that are included with the dance floor. Also included are a spin cone, dance rail, a Twistin' Tricks Card and of course, a Dizzy Dancers pet. The recommended age is for kids 4 and up. While my daughter, who is six, was really excited at first, it was my son, soon to be four, who plays with it the most. He's never been bothered by the idea of playing with 'girly' toys, which is fine by me. He did, however, convert the dance floor into a race track. I wonder if this will get him into Beyblades like his cousin who has a pretty hefty collection.

Here is some raw video I took of my son playing with the FurReal Dizzy Dancers set.

Each pet costs about $9.99 but effective March 30th 2012 to April 9th, 2012, you can buy them for $6.97 on Toysrus.ca, while quantities last. The Dance Studio is currently on for $17.47, regularly priced at $24.99.

Disclosure: I received samples from Hasbro to help facilitate this review. All opinions expressed in this post are my own.
