Jully Black and Her Fabulous Shoes

Last Friday, Toronto native Jully Black graced the stage at this year's BlissDom Canada conference. I had received a video shout-out from Jully Black a couple of years ago and I was very excited to hear her perform some of her greatest hits including my personal favourite "Seven Day Fool." As the Canadian R&B singer-songwriter knocked attendees off their feet with her incredible vocals, she also worked the stage with some mighty fine dance moves. And fabulous shoes!

Thankfully, she let me know via Twitter that she was wearing Stuart Weitzmans. It wasn't long before I was Windows shopping (mind the pun) on StuartWeitzman.ca. While I couldn't find the exact pair she was wearing, I did find some equally fabulous shoes. On SALE!

Andy Kim Sings "Sugar, Sugar" at Blissdom Canada Karaoke Costume Party

The Blissdom Canada karaoke costume party is one of the highlights of my year. Last year, Eric Alper surprised us with Jordan Knight. And it was awesome. This year, the stage was graced with the vocal talent of Canadian pop rock singer and songwriter Andy Kim. Here he is singing one of my favourite songs, "Sugar, Sugar."

Jordan Knight Surprises Bloggers at Blissdom Canada in Toronto!

There I was. On the dance floor, getting ready to hear Racheal McCaig sing her first karaoke song of the night. It was the Blissdom Canada annual Halloween karaoke party. The words that first escaped Racheal's mouth, however, were not what I was anticipating. "Yes, that's Jordan Knight over there." What? Jordan Knight?!? Over where? Surely, it must be someone disguised as the New Kids on the Block star.

I glanced once.

I glanced twice.

It was true! Jordan Knight was in the house! Eeek!

Shortly after that announcement, the room emptied nearly immediately as all the women-turned-12-year-olds lined up for their exclusive photo opp, each donned in their costumes. What a sight! And of course, there was Eric Alper handing out Jordan Knight's latest CD. Awesome!

Later, Jordan joined us for some karaoke à la NKOTB while his adoring fans joined him on stage. Including myself. Pinch me. I must be dreaming.
