Pokémon Go Now Available in Canada

How many of you are jumping for joy now that Pokémon GO is now available as a free download in Canada from both the iPhone App Store and Android's Google Play Store? If you have been living under a rock, Pokémon GO has become extremely popular in such a short time frame and has been causing quite the stir. This new app allows users to discover Pokémon in a whole new way using real world locations to encourage players to search far and wide to discover Pokémon.

This year, people across the globe will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Pokémon in a way like never before thanks to Pokémon GO, a celebration which will continue with the launch of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon on November 18.

  1. the servers were so overwhelmed last night we crashed the system. As well be forwarned that some of the stuff is not working (like how to tell if ones near by ... so of its working but right now not all of it is) My DIL did the hacked version (downloading the file and taking the risk that it would not corrupt your phone etc) so she's been playing awhile and when the rest of us tried to do it yesterday, we had major issues and had to ask her q's (I was trying to figure out how to tell where all those nearby guys were and that part is broken right now)

  2. Im CURIOUS to download the game to see what the hype is all about, but I doubt it will be a hit with me. Too much data usage with GPS for my non-unlimited account!

  3. I'm not into this game, I know a few friends of mine are. I see so many people walking blindly across traffic or into other people at the mall because they are playing this

  4. I am so not into this at all. There was already a sexual assault in Vancouver as one player somehow lured another player to a park. I'm staying away from it lol

  5. getting pretty tiring to hear about this all the time, and not to mention all the crazy stories of those who play. Definitely not a reason to help yourself to other peoples yard etc.....silliness. Just my 2 cents, but I'm sure it can be fun to play.

  18. reading articles about the crowds, and the locations of pokemon (in cemetaries, hospitals, etc....) is a bit much. I'm all for the fun, but where is everyone's common sense.

I did download it as I thought my daughter would like to hunt for pokemon , we did go for a few pokewalks and caught some but then she lost interest, I was really hoping it was something she would want to do together with mommy but hey she is 6 ! and 6 means changing your mind all the time ! lol
