Conquer the Cold Survival Guide and a Hair Care Prize Pack
Monday, February 18, 2013
Last week, I turned thirty-five and boy, do I feel it! I'm out of shape, I'm getting grey hairs, even my wardrobe is looking old. With freezing winds and dry furnace air, my skin has become dry and my hair has me singing, "Shoo fly-away, don't bother me!" It's in these desperate times that I turn to my arsenal of hair, face and body products the likes of which include the Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal line by P&G.
In the past year, I have only cut my hair once. As a result, my hair grew quite long and the tips were looking dry and damaged. Yet, every time I used Pantene shampoo and conditioner, no one seemed to notice. In fact, it's almost a guarantee that a couple of my students would comment on how beautiful my hair looked. I'd have to agree. My hair would have volume and bounce, and it felt oh, so soft. Now, with Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Moisture Mist, I can help fight split ends and damage due to the cold outdoors and styling heat. The moisture mist is great for daily use and helps strengthen dry fragile hair while prepping it for styling.
For those with kinky, curly, wavy and unruly frizz, a lack of moisture may be the culprit. In the Conquer the Cold Survival Guide from P&G, which you can download below, it is suggested that you need not wash your hair everyday since it is unnecessary and hard on hair. When you do you wash your hair, it's better to air-dry your hair whenever possible to help reduce split ends from heat damage. You can also try Herbal Essences None of your Frizzness Shampoo and conditioner. I found it did really helped to fight fly-aways but did notice that the shampoo doesn't lather up as nicely as the Pantene shampoo. I also felt like it left my hair feeling flatter than usual so I would suggest limiting the amount of conditioner you use.
This past Saturday, I cut my hair short. Really short. Which means I have more volume and no more split ends. This also means I will be using a lot more hair styling products such as the Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Silky Moisture Whip, which is a styler and moisturizer in one. It will take some getting used to since I haven't had my hair this short in nearly ten years!

ReplyDeleteWhen my kids were little I had long hair, then at home it was always in a pony tail. One day I decided it was a waste to have long hair and just have it in a pony tail, pick one or the other. Next thing you know Chop Chop bye bye :-)
Thanks! I always wore my hair straight down, sometimes in a ponytail. It was definitely a dull style. It was also liberating to chop, chop!
