WagJag: For Generosity on a Dime

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

A couple of weeks ago, I shared a post with you on how you can save on holiday shopping with WagJag.com. From iPad cases to dance lessons, it's hard to narrow down your choices. There are over 175 offers for my fellow Torontonians currently available on their Holiday Shoppe page. As must as I would love to try my hand at belly dancing or martial arts, I thought I'd best use my credit towards a gift for someone else.

In case you haven't been following, my brother and his wife are expecting their first-born on New Year's Eve. They've been told to expect a baby girl, which will make her my first niece. I am very excited and can't wait to be able to hold a newborn again. It's no wonder that every time I enter a store, I scan for deals on items for babies. When browsing through the deals on WagJag, I noticed an offer for 51% off Diaper Backpacks from Baby Sherpa. This is something I wish I had owned when my kids were babies. Walking around with a shoulder bag and a baby can be a little cumbersome. A backpack is definitely more practical.

Purchasing an offer on WagJag is rather simple. All you need to do is click on the big orange button that says, "Buy For..." to begin placing your order. If you haven't signed up for an account, you'll be directed to create one. Or if you're already logged in, you will move on to the second step which will require you to click on the orange button that says, "Continue." For the third step, you will need to enter or confirm your shipping address before moving on to the final step of entering in your credit card information. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are all accepted.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an email notification indicating your order. About a half hour or so after I purchased the Baby Sherpa offer, I received a second email notifying me that the voucher was ready. All you need to do is log in and view your account.

Your voucher will be listed under "Available Vouchers". Click on it and an image will appear immediately to the right along with 3 options: download a PDF copy of the voucher, send as a gift or mark as used. Click on the PDF file or even "My Voucher" to begin the download of the voucher which will give you details on how to redeem it. For the Baby Sherpa offer, you enter the full voucher code in at checkout in the field indicated for promotion codes. I opted for the new Alpha Sherpa, the ultimate hybrid laptop backpack, but was disappointed to learn that my order was delayed from 5-7 business days to 5-8 weeks. Ouch! Looks like I won't be able to use it a Christmas gift after all. It sure must be one hot item!

About a month ago, I also took advantage of the Hotphonecases.com WagJag offer and nabbed a cool retro case that looks like a Nintendo Gameboy along with a couple of screen protectors for $15. It was delivered about a week or so after I ordered it and I was really happy with that deal.

Have you tried WagJag? If so, what has been your favourite offer?

Disclosure: I am participating in an influencer program with EverytingMom to support WagJag for the holidays. Although I have been compensated for my time to write this post, the opinion expressed are purely my own.
