Can you believe the frigid temperatures we've had these past few days here in Toronto? What a huge contrast to the spring-like weather we had for about a week prior! It totally felt like spring was around the corner and I even heard birds singing about it, too. It even motivated me to get a head start on spring cleaning and I'm happy to say that I filled about 3 and a half large bags of toys and clothes to be given to charity. Yay, me!
But sadly, the cold weather is back. I just wish it would snow, too. It would make the sub-zero, hurts-to-inhale, dries-your-skin temperatures just a little more bearable. You know what I mean? Now I just want to stay indoors all day. Which is not entirely a bad thing thanks to Upper Canada Soap.
I am so excited to tell you about one of their amazing products, their Body Truffles collection! Yes. It's as scrumptious as it sounds. Yes. It makes you feel spoiled and pampered. Yes. It's so luxurious and oh, so chocolaty. It just makes me want to scream YES every time I use it!
Ladies (not to exclude men who visit spas but...) Ladies, save yourself a trip and the expense of going to the spa and try out Upper Canada Soap's Chocolate Strawberry Truffle for bath and body. It smells soooo good! Like seriously. What a great way to get yourself in the mood this Valentine's Day. I don't know about you, but chocolate usually does it for me. So the first time I tried their Chocolate Strawberry Warming Fondue Scrub, I nearly forgot about the lasagne cooking in the oven. This incredible sugar scrub (mmm, sugar!) is a magical concoction that warms your body on contact and exfoliates the skin. It's made using a variety of rich butters and oils and does not contain any harsh chemicals such as parabens, SLS or mineral oils. Bonus. It is also available in two other "spoil-me" fragrances - Fudge Brownie and Cocoa Mango. This is a definite must-have for Valentine's day. My only wish is that they could make the bottle twice as big since I voraciously devoured the entire bottle within about ten days of receiving it. I just couldn't get enough! Now keep reading until you get to the great giveaway.
I am also pleased to be able to tell you about Upper Canada Soap's best selling All-Natural Bath and Body line called Naturally. And new to the line is their latest fragrance, Cranberry Moro Orange, which is infused with the natural benefits of antioxidant-rich cranberries and vitamin-rich Moro Oranges. This line of products does not contain parabens, mineral oils or synthetic dyes and are made with botanical extracts, all-natural ingredients, oils and mineral complexes chosen specifically for their known benefits to the skin:
Cranberry Moro Orange - The Purifier
Wild Mint Lime - Vitamin Booster
Red Tea Grape - Anti-Oxidant
Pressed Olive Avocado - Skin Protector
Sweet Vanilla Fig - Detoxifier
I got to try the Pressed Olive Avocado Whipped Hand Repair Balm. Let's just say that if you suffer from dry hands, you need to have this in your medicine cabinet. It has a nice fresh smell and works well to soften your skin. Apply it after you shower with a Body Truffle and enjoy the added benefit of locking in some added moisture! (I've learned a lot since I started testing lotions, haven't I?)
Visit the Upper Canada Soap website for a list of online retailers in Canada and the US. Their products are also available at specialty gift shops and select department stores across North America. They just celebrated their 40th anniversary, so they've been around a while.
One lucky reader of Toronto Teacher Mom will receive one product from their scrumptiously delicious Body Truffles line. The winner will be announced on Valentine's day!
