The Impact of Cyberbullying - IICT
This week concludes the final learning experience in the Integration of Information and Computer Technology additional qualification course I have been working on for the past few months. As part of our final assignments, course participants are asked to create a digital portfolio highlighting a selection of our work that we have submitted throughout the course. I have chosen to share my reflection on the impact of cyberbullying and the role of the teacher simply because I feel that this is such an important topic, especially in today's digital age. While I make no claims that I am an expert of any kind on the topic of cyberbullying, I would like to offer my thoughts on how cyberbullying may effect students and what teachers can do to help deter cyberbullying in schools. Please note: this is not an exhaustive list but merely a collection of ideas that stand out most to me.

  1. Cyberbullying has become so widespread, and not just amongst kids but adults too. I hope someday people will wake up and realize how hurtful bullying (in any form) is awful.

  2. Great reflection. Teachers can provide such a great model for kids, and guide for ethical behaviour.
