Holiday Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffer Ideas from Hasbro

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

Christmas is just a week away and I have barely started shopping. The good thing is my Christmas tree is up, I've bought chocolates for all of the kids' teachers (ten in all), and we have put up minimal decorations around the house. Just enough to get into the spirit of the season. But it wasn't until today that I realized I had forgotten the stockings. How could I forget the stockings? Fortunately, I have a fresh stock of stuffing stuffers from Hasbro. I'm talking Transformer Rescue Bots, Marvel Universe Movie Series Action Figures and Beyblade BeyBattle Tops. Looking for more stocking stuffer ideas? Look no further!

For the crafty toddler on your list, consider a Play-Doh treat without the sweet. This holiday pack features 10 mini tubs of Play-Doh in seasonal colours in a festive candy cane shape. They also have a Play-Doh Grab 'n Go Pack, both perfect for ages two and up.

If you need to shop for a little one who loves to build, the Kre-O CityVille Popluation 2-packs is a great stocking stuffer. Also, check out the Littlest Pet Shop singles (my daughter's favourite) as well as the Despicable Me 2 Battle Pod with Minion.

Each minion comes with a Battle Pod for crazy knockdown fun as well as a minion. You might get Awesome Bob or Medieval Stuart or maybe even Crazy Kyle. Spin, launch and roll your minions and build a minion army from the collection of 50 different characters.

For Sesame Street fans, Hasbro has an assortment of mini plush characters that include Elmo, Cookie Monster, Murray, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird, Ernie and Bert. These take-along pals are perfectly sized for preschoolers to tote on the go.

If you have an older child on your shopping list, Scrabble Slam is an excellent stocking stuffer. In this fast-paced word game, players race against each other to change the existing four-letter word and rid of all their cards. It's just like those word games you would find in those old Canadian spellers where you could change one letter in the word 'game' to get the word 'fame' and then change one more letter to get the word 'fate.' The set includes 55 cards in total and is great for two to four players age eight and up. I think I accidentally dropped this one into my own stocking...
