Travel Mugs from Reuseit.comThursday, April 05, 2012
As a working mom constantly on the go, I often crave a good cup of coffee first thing in the morning. Unfortunately, I do not always have the time to make French pressed coffee using my favourite organic fair trade coffee beans AND sit down at the table to enjoy it before heading off to work. Nor have I ordered the replacement part for my Tassimo machine, which I would usually resort to using on those
rare mornings when I'm even more pressed for time. This means I have to take my freshly brewed coffee with me into the car to enjoy at work. Thank goodness for spill-proof Travel Mugs. I don't think the leather interior in my new Jeep would take too kindly to coffee spills.
Recently, I was able to try out a Thermos King 16 oz Stainless Steel Leak-Proof Tumbler from Reuseit.com. With a classic 1950's-inspired look, it also sports a cool rotating top design that locks the sip hole into an open or closed position, which is clearly marked. I like it because, not only is it BPA-free, it is also free of lead and phthalates. It is made of extremely durable 18/8 grade stainless steel and designed using a patented TherMax double-wall insulation. This means that it can keep contents cold for up to nine hours and hot for up to five hours. Plus, I'm also less likely to buy a coffee on the way to work, which reduces the number of disposable cups that ends up in the landfill.
As an elementary school teacher, the Thermos travel mug has proven to be quite handy. I have supervision duty first thing in the morning so on a cold day like today, a nice hot cup off coffee or tea is always great to have on hand. The Thermos mug keeps my beverage nice and hot but it still remains cool to the touch. And it's super easy to wash, too.
Now, where is that mug? For some odd reason, I have a sudden craving for coffee...
