Indigo Kids Makes Birthday Gifting EasyWednesday, March 07, 2012
Aside from the fact that my kids get invited to a gazillion birthday parties each year, I find it particularly stressful trying to find the perfect gift for kids. Unless you know exactly what they want, you could literally spend hours looking for something that may not be age appropriate, or worse, suit their fancy. That's why I'm grateful for Indigo Kids which offers smart gift recommendations for every age.
One of my favourite places to shop is at Bayview Village where they have a really big Chapters store that houses a large Indigo Kids department. Since I needed to buy a gift for my nephew who is turning eight in a couple of weeks, I decided to check out the newly re-designed Indigo Kids location at Bayview. My sister had provided a list of items that he had added to his wishlist, some of which included LEGO sets. I remember seeing that LEGO was on sale so that was the first thing I looked for.
Two of the sets that he had requested were not available at this location so I resorted to buying a small LEGO Ninjago Venomari Shrine, which was one of the items on sale.
While I was there, I was tweeting about my search for the perfect gift. Someone had tweeted back asking for gift ideas for a six year old girl. Well, I know my daughter, who's six, would love this crafty gift idea:
Or any of these:
For the younger ones, I'd go for these green toys made from 100% recycled plastic:
And you can never go wrong with a Mr. Men or Little Miss book.
Still not sure what to get? Try asking one of the friendly staff members who are there to help. Or you can always get some inspiration by visiting the Indigo Kids Birthday section:
The best thing about shopping at Indigo Kids? Free kids gift wrap!
And since shipping is free on purchases over $25, it saved me from having to drive to another store.
Will you be shopping for a special little someone soon? You'll be happy to know that I am giving away a $35 Indigo Gift Card!
