Burt's Bees® Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin

Redness.

Irritation.

Dryness.

These are just some of the unpleasant symptoms experienced by those who suffer from sensitive skin. Call it RID, if you like. You know, the stuff you want to get rid off. If you're a Burt's Bees fan like I am and suffer from sensitive skin, you'll be happy to know that they offer a new line of Burt's Bees® Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin. Designed to cleanse and moisturize vulnerable skin without causing redness or irritation, these products are infused with the softening properties of Cotton and the gentle power of Rice and Aloe.

As a BzzAgent, I was sent a sample of Burt's Bees Sensitive Facial Cleanser and Sensitive Daily Moisturizer. The cleanser is a soap-free cleaner that removes dirt, oil and makeup without over drying. It contains Quillaja, taken from the bark of the Soapbark tree, which is supposed to make a natural foaming lather. In my experience, I did not find that it lathered much and found it to be rather creamy, almost as if it were a moisturizer. This is something I wasn't expecting so it threw me off a bit. It also contains Yucca, a dessert plant chosen for being high in saponins traditionally used in cleansing. And the facial cleanser certainly does its job. I really like that its fragrance free and hypo-allergenic but honestly, I am not a fan of the consistency. I found it required a little more effort to wash off than I'd care for. The cost of $12.99 is what I would expect to pay for a 170g tube of natural moisturizer but it is unlikely I will be buying this particular cleanser in the future.
Burt's Bees Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream
The Daily Moisturizing Cream, however, won me over. I found it moisturized well and I particularly loved the easy-to-use pump. I wish all my moisturizers had a similar pump. Additionally, I noticed that I didn't need to use a full pump's worth in order to fully moisturize my face. My sister, who suffers from dry, red skin on her cheek, has also tried the daily moisturizing cream. She agrees that a little goes along way and likes that it doesn't sting when she applies it to the area that is red, unlike some other creams she has tried in the past. She also mentioned that it doesn't feel sticky or thick. Which reminds me: It's non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores. With a hefty price tag of $24.99 for a 50g bottle, I would definitely wait for a sale or a coupon. Or perhaps when there's a Shoppers Drugmart Optimum promotion and I can redeem my points. I don't shop at Walmart very often but I know Burt's Bees is available there as well.

Have you tried Burt's Bees® Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin yet? What do you think?

Disclosure: I was sent samples for the purpose of this review as part of the BzzAgent Burt's Bees® Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin  campaign. I was not compensated in any other way. The opinions expressed are my own honest opinions.
