Standing Ovation

Sunday, April 23, 2006

A round of applause for my darling Madeleine. She is now an expert at getting to a standing position by pulling herself up. My little baby is growing up and reaching for the sky. She's happy about it and oh so proud. I can't believe she's hit this delightful milestone. Granted, I have to be right by her every second now to make sure she doesn't pull herself up on something unstable or flip over her Mega Bloks. But the feeling of pride I get by watching Madeleine acheive her goals on her own is worth it. Now I have to lower her matress. That should be fun!

Anyway, I've been snapping shots as much as I can, especially now that Maddie has her first pair of walking boots. She's wearing out the floor from travelling endlessly in circles in her Exersaucer. I downloaded almost 100 pictures onto our iMac and played them in a slideshow with sappy music to accompany it. I had to hold back the tears watching the captures moments of her precious life. I don't ever want to forget a single detail...

  1. Yay Madeleine!

I feel the same way about Boo. I must have at least a couple hundred pictures of him on my computer. I probably take pictuers just about every day to capture every detail of him!

  3. I can't wait. ha ha. I already feel like I have to constantly be protecting Audrey's head from hitting the floor when she's carelessly tumbling around the floor. She's clunked it pretty good a few times and I have to say "Oh well. It's just gonna get worse when she learns how to stand up!"

Us mama's... we are the toughest and squishiest creatures in existance! Of course, it's all explained when you look at those eyes! They melt ya, and you would kill anything that tried to hurt the owner of those sweet eyes.
